In the heart of the Black Perigord, go to Saint-Cybranet to discover the Albarède gardens, labelled "remarkable garden". There, on the left bank of the Dordogne, Serge and Brigitte Lapouge have set themselves a challenge: to bring back to life a seemingly barren land. And they succeeded! Perennials, wild flowers and old roses bloom freely amidst the old stones.
Start your walk around the pond where aromatic and medicinal plants distil their fragrances. Walk through the English garden to reach the flowered vegetable garden with old varieties grown organically. The orchard presents a collection of the best apples of the Black Perigord, while the strange shapes of the wild boxwood garden evolve over time. Take the old vineyard path with its panoramic view of the Céou valley and take a break opposite the listed site of the Rochers du Conte.
