Whether you arrive in Bourdeilles from Brantôme or from Ribérac, you are greeted by the vision of the powerful keep of the Château de Bourdeilles, which overlooks the river Dronne in the Green Périgord. Built on a rocky outcrop, the Château de Bourdeilles is actually two truly exceptional edifices. A medieval fortress dating from the 13th century flanked by an impressive 32-metre-high tower and an elegant Renaissance dwelling housing one of the richest furniture collections in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. During school holidays, visit the austere medieval keep with four vaulted floors, then, contrasting with it, the Renaissance castle and its ceremonial rooms. Participate in discovery workshops as a family and discover medieval skills. During theatrical night tours, walk around the castle like privileged guests in a warm, humorous and unusual atmosphere.
