Les Abeilles du Périgord

  • Honey
Le Bois Sauvage, 24210 La Bachellerie
In the heart of the Périgord Noir, in a verdant setting between La Bachellerie and Montignac, just off the Lascaux caves, Jacques Laugénie, apiarist, invites you to share his passion and discover the secret life of bees: how they are raised, pollination, honey production and more. This educational, fun, free tour of the honey farm lasts for approximately one hour and is followed by a tasting. Open every day in July and August from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. You may also see the honey being extracted every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer season. During the off season, tours are only available by appointment. English language video. Farm products are on sale at the on-site shop.
